This is Mel and her friend Rain! Mel got to see a free concert today! Woop! I can’t really remember the name of the band…it was on this soundstage they set up in the park as part of the festival, and everyone just sat or danced on the grass in front of them. They sounded like little kids putting on a show for their parents, i.e. earnest and willing to please but ultimately crappy quality. Then the next band came on, like seven people, with some crazy instrument combos (guitar and trombone!) but they sounded so good. I have to get the name from my friend, see if I can download some stuff.

Mel got a great new outfit yesterday, all black, a black corset style top and a SHORT skirt, and this rocking boots (kinda like bike boots)… Anyway, she lost the skirt (oops) and took some pics for you guys! She wore everything to go out last night. They hung out at a martini and cigar club, where the vibe was very much older gentleman-like, big leather chairs, that kind of thing, but filled with people of all different ages. It’s a popular place to go have drinks before you go out dancing or wherever, because they have this nice little balcony area. she had a Funky Monkey which had banana liqueur in it and real bits of banana   it was soo yummy. she had to hold back cause they were way too easy to drink!
